The eviivo management team consists of an experienced group of business leaders who have direct experience of travel and tourism: working with independent accommodation businesses, guiding the successful growth of technology companies, and building world class service-led organisations.
Hazem Ben-Gacem from Investcorp Technology Partners joined the eviivo board in 2011. Hazem holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from Harvard University. He also serves on the Dean's Council for the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
Dirk Schmuecking from Investcorp Technology Partners joined the eviivo board in 2011. Dirk holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Dr.-Ing. (PhD) in Electrical Engineering from Technical University Munich.
Nigel’s experience spans over twenty years in the travel industry. He has held a wide range of senior board positions at TUI and Thomas Cook as well working for a number of smaller companies, including The First Resort.
Simon is the longest serving staff member - in fact, the original staff member. He has seen eviivo evolve from a technology project into a thriving global business. When he is not managing Shareholder and Board matters, he works with the CEO and FD to shape the strategic direction of the company both in the UK and abroad. He is responsible for the performance of our international licensees and is a dab hand at negotiating, marking up and drawing commercial agreements to a mutually beneficial position. He is qualified to Masters level and is more than likely to be found in his spare time with his nose in a text book of some description!
Jill has an extensive experience working in the tourism industry, holding senior Finance positions at Style Holidays (part of the Thomas Cook Group), TUI UK, First Choice and Unijet.
Louis has extensive experience within the travel, tourism and e-commerce sectors and has previously held senior account and technology management positions at Agilisys and lastminute.com. Louis holds a degree in Information Systems, and is a keen musician.
Graham has led technology teams in a range of industries, and developed software applications ranging from real-time train monitoring and control systems to online self-serve superannuation systems. Prior to joining eviivo he worked for the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse, producing an application serving the needs of the Australian states‘ tourism content collection and distribution needs. Graham holds a Bachelor of Information Technology with 1st class honours and is a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer for .NET (MCSD.NET).
Gavin has considerable experience in a range of tourism sector businesses in both the UK and New Zealand. This includes management roles at visitor attractions, regional tourism organisations, tourism retail and tourism consultancy firms. Gavin holds an MA degree in Tourism.
Kathryn has over twenty years experience in the travel industry, in roles spanning Product, Commercial and Marketing. After cutting her teeth in various positions within Eurotunnel and TUI, she has worked most recently for Thomas Cook. She holds a degree in Politics and Economic History, but these days is much more interested in travelling around the UK, Europe and the World, whilst collecting diverse recipes to cook up at home in Hertfordshire.
Mel joined eviivo in 2009 and leads the customer services consulting team. Mel has always worked within the Travel and Tourism Industry – with Thomson Holidays (TUI UK) and then with Whitbread – and always on the frontline. Mel is passionate about service delivery and, when not helping customers, she enjoys hiking in the countryside with her dogs.
Paul has worked in the travel Industry for over 10 years with time spent at First Choice, iglu.com, Kuoni and Teletext, in Commercial and Product Roles. Paul holds a degree in Leisure Management and when not at work, he enjoys nothing more than zipping down a mountain on a snowboard.
Matt has over six years experience working in the Tourism technology industry, for private and public sector organisations at local, regional and national level. He holds a degree in Business Information Technology and previous roles have involved managing technology projects to assist the promotion of tourism destinations and individual businesses. Matt is a keen music and sports fan and enjoys the lifestyle of living in the West Country.
With over 20 years experience across the travel and foreign exchange industries, Robert has held sales management roles in retail travel and has wide experience of B2B and B2C. Robert enjoys time with his wife and sons, as well as playing and watching football.
Audley has previously worked in the tourism and hospitality industry in the Caribbean in various roles. He joined the eviivo team in early 2007 and when he is not out in the field evangelising frontdesk, he is underwater instructing PADI divers.
Hemanth leads the installation team at eviivo and has previously held various positions in the hospitality industry including at Sheraton, Thistle and Park Plaza Hotels. He graduated with a BA (Hons) in Hospitality Management. When not helping our frontdesk users get up and running, he can be found hiking in the Buckinghamshire countryside.
