Through both our “last-room availability” technology and our close partnerships with nearly 5,000 of the UK’s independent accommodation businesses, we are in a unique position to provide industry analysts with a wealth of data on the day-to-day operations, trends and demographics of the independent tourism sector. Our new ground-breaking eviivo Accommodation Index quarterly report publishes key metrics relating to the performance of the small to medium-sized independent serviced accommodation sector in the UK.
We are able to provide a comprehensive and accurate set of occupancy data at an aggregate UK, regional or town level, parameterised by star rating, price, room size and product type, with monthly, annual and prior year trends. Available data covers the breadth of UK independent accommodation businesses, including B&Bs, guest accommodation, hotels, boutique hotels, restaurants with rooms, farmhouses, self catering and cottages.
Our platform enables us to provide highly detailed comparative pricing information, including many optional parameters such as region, season, property type or accreditation level, and even split between offline and online bookings. Available data includes average booking values, length of stay, party size and booking lead times. We can also provide yield data, including revenue per available room (REVPAR).
Our guest review collection model ensures that only guests who have actually stayed at the property are invited to fill out a comprehensive review form, ensuring we receive the most accurate information possible. Guests are invited to rate the property on a range of quality criteria, providing us with a rich view of customer expectations and satisfaction. Once again, all data may be presented using a variety of parameters such as region or product type.
Our guest review form also allows us to collect important information on a variety of demographics: leisure vs. business travel, party size, groups vs. solo travellers, couples vs. families, and even languages of choice and country of origin. All of these demographics may be combined with our data on quality scores, customer expectations or booking values to create a three-dimensional view of the independent tourism sector.
